PlatformPilot-Tower is an optional stand-alone module that takes care of the traffic management of the autonomous mobile robots when required.

It is not included in PlatformPilot-Core, but usually runs on a separate slim stationary computer. The mobile robots then establish connections to the Tower via WLAN and inform it of their next destination. PlatformPilot Tower plans and manages the routes of all the robots in such a way that there are never any bottlenecks, deadlocks or traffic jams.
